Are you looking for the best things to do in Cairns with your kids or your family? Well, I have put together a list of all the things I did with my son on our trip to Cairns. I hope you have as much fun as we did.

I want to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the lands mentioned in this post and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. The Gimuy-walubarra yidi people are the traditional owners of the Cairns and surrounding district. The traditional owners of the coastal country between Cairns and Port Douglas are the Yirrganydji people. The Djabugay people are the traditional owners of Kuranda.

    When I took my kids to Cairns, we did many of these things. We missed the Great Barrier Reef as the weather wasn’t too good. I’d love to go back and do that.
