The best places to eat in Bali

Bali is more than just luxurious resorts and beautiful beaches. The Indonesian island also offers delicious and authentic cuisine, from street food to high-end restaurants. Whether you want a romantic beachfront dining experience or a casual warung to mingle with locals, Bali has something for everyone and every budget. Check out the best places to eat in Bali for a tasty adventure. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bali in 2023, here are my list of discovered cafes and restaurants.

RÜSTERS is a state of the art coffee roasters and café, a top-tier restaurant providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a one-of-a-kind sunset bar with mesmerising views of the Ubud rice fields. It is also led by a talented Danish chef. A diverse range of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines are served. Everything we ate was delicious, and the butter chicken was perfect.

Bebek Tebesari Resto

Looking for a peaceful lunch retreat in Ubud? Check out the Bebek Tebasari Resto, located just a 10-minute drive from the Monkey Forest in Ubud. The traditional Balinese design, wooden frame gazebos, and koi pond create a serene atmosphere surrounded by a tropical garden and rice field. Sit on pillows on the bamboo floor and watch the koi swim around. If you ask the kind staff, they will gladly provide you with a bag to feed the fish.

Along with certain traditional balinese meals, Bebek Tebesari Resto also serve a variety of Asian-inspired dishes.

Motel Mexicola

Motel Mexicola is by far the funkiest restuarants in Seminyak. Everyone adores the Mexican-inspired party pad’s 1960s Acupulco-retro vibes, which include brilliant neon lighting, delicious food, and exquisite wall paintings. This is by far the best mexican place to eat in Bali.

Real Mexican cuisine prepared by authentic chef Steven Skelly is delicious and can be enjoyed as a group. If you have no idea what you feel like eating, they have a fantastic option on the menu where they surprise you with some of their best meals for a set price per person.

Brazilian Aussie BBQ

I advise everyone visiting Bali who enjoys meat to try this Brazilian Aussie BBQ joint. All you can eat and suited for both solo and group meals. Garlic bread, rump cap, beef hump, michui, top sirloin, chorizo sausage, pork ribs, and crackle are among the mouth watering menu items. You can also help yourself to a plate from the buffet or order some vegetables to be wok-fried and prepared whatever you like.

Summer Queen

Summer Queen is a highly regarded Asian fusion and Western restaurant that offers visitors a delightful and amazing evening with their fantastic band. The restaurant encourages visitors to dance and takes requests. This information is perfect for a blog post.

We experienced the best Chicken Parmigiana’s we’ve ever had to eat in Bali, thanks to Summer Queen.

Coffee Corner

Australian-style cafe with affordable rates and excellent coffee. Coffee Corner is a little gem. Excellent cuisine, outstanding coffee, and an airy and light atmosphere. Staff are excellent and put in that extra effort to say hello and remember your name.

This was our go-to spot in Legian for the most delicious hashbrowns and coffee.

Lovers of Thai and Indonesian food are advised to check out this restaurant’s menu. Steamed fish, fried prawns, and a wonderfully prepared green curry are all on the menu here. Lemongrass Thai is known for its delicious apple crumble, che, and banana pancakes. We came in for a late-afternoon bite and were delighted with their small plates.

Fat Chow

One of my favourite places to eat in Bali is Fat Chow, a small but exquisitely decorated and furnished cafe offering modern Asian cuisine in a Tapas-style. Their menu features a variety of small bites in the appetiser section as well as more substantial dishes that are perfect for sharing. A must-try is their chicken in pandan leaf dish. Visit them along Jalan Popies II.

Kori Restuarant

Looking for a serene and romantic restaurant in the bustling district of Poppies Lane II in Legian, Kuta? Kori Restaurant might be just what you’re looking for. Despite its busy location, the restaurant boasts a tranquil and quiet atmosphere thanks to its cabanas, gardens, and exquisite ponds filled with fish and turtles. Check it out for a peaceful and romantic dining experience.

While you’re there, be sure to sample some of their best meals, like Beef Lasagna, Australian Meaty Beef Ribs, and Beef Bourguignon.
